# Staking

**Staking** helps TON users verify blockchain transactions, and allows participants to get passive income from transaction commissions.

How does staking on Ton.Place work?

To participate in staking, you need 2 things:

·       Active subscription [Ton.Place Erotic](https://ton.place/subscription/adult)​

·       Top up your account balance in Ton.Place with at least 1 TON.

The staking cycle restarts every 72 hours. You will receive a return on the staked coins in 2-4 days.  Before entering a new cycle, we take a snapshot of all balances of Ton.Place users and contribute these coins to staking.  Once the cycle is over, you will earn TON unless you withdrew funds from your Balance. Rewards for participating in Staking are distributed between users in proportion to the sum deposited on Ton.Place. Yearly profit from staking is around 5%.

Important! If you withdraw funds from the balance before getting a return from staking or spend funds from the balance on the platform, then your coins will not be counted, and therefore you will not receive any profit.
